The South of France Inspired Gifts: 2021

      01. “Provence Glory” by François Simon. This book is on my wishlist, and I cannot wait to get my hands on it! With 312 pages and over 200 illustrations, this beautiful linen hardcover book is a perfect way to travel to Provence right from your armchair.

      02. Mirabeau Etoile Provence Rosé. It may be winter, but that doesn’t mean we can’t prep the wine cellar for warmer weather (and no judgment here if you pop the bottle earlier!). Originating from the region of Mont Sainte Victoire, this rosé contains notes of grapefruit, orange peel, pear, and white peach. Pairs beautifully with seafood and creamy cheeses.

      03. French Market Basket. A staple for many locals, this market basket is iconic for a reason—I don’t know what I’d do without one now that I have it. Beyond being the perfect companion to your local market, it acts as a catch-all for weekends away, beach days, and more. The come in various different shapes and sizes, but this one is a classic.

      04. Hédène Lavender Honey. From renowned honey producer Hédène, this jar of lavender honey is sourced in the Luberon region and has a creamy texture with a lingering floral taste. It is delicious drizzled over creamy cheeses or added to herbal teas.

      05. “Maison à Gordes” Fine Art Print Download. Gift the beauty of Provence for a loved one to enjoy in their own home. From my own collection of fine art prints, this digital download print features a charming Provençal house in the village of Gordes.

      06. La Rochère Napoleonic Bee Wine Glass Set. Described as “casual-chic,” these lovely little wine glassed a best seller of La Rochère’s collection. The bee detail brings a subtle hint of countryside to the timeless design—and they’re absolutely perfect for a Provençal-inspired dinner en plein air.

      07. Vintage Transferware Plate. I’ve always loved the vintage collection of goods curated by The Cook’s Atelier. I love mixing vintage transferware—like these timeless blue ones—with my more modern, elegant serving dishes. It brings a hints of French countryside aesthetic that I find so lovely!

      08. Mauviel Copper Saucepan. Copper cookware is an investment, but when I do choose to upgrade my cookware, this will be my first purchase. Every kitchen needs a small saucepan and this beautiful copper one is made to last. And if you’re going to invest in copper cookware, why not buy from the manufacturer that’s been at it for 800 years?

      09. Marius Fabre Marseille Soap. Based in Salon-de-Provence, Marius Fabre has been making traditional Marseille soaps since 1900. It’s 100% natural, made from vegetable oil, and smell incredible. I have a few sizes stacked and displayed under a glass cloche in my bathroom.

      10. “My Twenty-Five Years in Provence” by Peter Mayle. A beloved author of Provençal travel memoirs, this book includes Mayle’s reflections on his twenty-five years in the South of France. Get lost and inspired in the pages of culinary delights, lavender fields, quaint villages, and all of Mayle’s lesson learned during his time living in Provence.

      11. Carrière Frères Lavender Candle. This South of France inspired gift guide would not be complete without a lavender-scented item. And this one is truly luxurious. This highly-fragrant candle provides a relaxing, soothing scent and whisk you away to Provence’s lavender fields.

      12. Château d’Estoublon Olive Oil Set. The stunning Château d’Estoublon is one of my favorite places in Provence, and no trip to the area is complete without a visit to their shop. The produce olive oil and wine on-site, and this set of oils is a perfect sample of their luxurious goods. It includes a bottle of olive oil and a bottle of black truffle oil.

      13. Striped Linen Tea Towel. Another French kitchen essential, this washed linen tea towel is available in various colors and patterns to suit your home kitchen aesthetic. It’s pre-washed for that natural wrinkled look we all love about linen.

Happy shopping and have a lovely holiday season!
