Tucked away in a valley in the heart of Provence, not far from the medieval village of Saignon, is the beautiful Abbaye Saint Eusèbe. I first visited the Abbaye on one of France’s warmest days of the year. We had the windows rolled down as we passed Saignon and drove toward the Abbaye. It was late June, and the lavender fields were in bloom, perfuming the air with that sweet familiar fragrance that smelled extra sweet that day. And as we pulled up to the estate, the Abbaye stood basking in the Provençal sun, surrounded by her gardens, and beckoning us in.

Abbaye Saint Eusèbe is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Provence and a dream venue for any couple planning their destination wedding in the South of France. Here’s how to know if it’s the perfect wedding venue for you:

      01. You have an appreciation for old-world history

If, as a couple, you share a deep appreciation for history and art, the Abbaye is a true historical treasure. It makes for a stunning backdrop to blend elegant, modern wedding details with old-world charm.

Abbaye Saint Eusèbe was built in the 12th century and has been passed down from generation to generation and remains a family-owned estate. In 1996, it was restored and given a new chapter. Now the family is proud to welcome couples to the Abbaye for their wedding celebrations.

      02. You’re looking for a quintessentially Provençal experience

The Abbaye is an ideal Provençal wedding venue, with its stone exterior traditional to the region, its spectacular views, and extensive gardens. It even has its very own lavender field that blooms mid-June through mid-July. It’s difficult to come by a venue more classic to the South of France than this one.

      03. You have a larger guest list, but still want your day to feel intimate

The Abbaye has two vaulted rooms that can accommodate up to 460 people. But even with a guest list that large, the Abbaye still provides a setting that feels intimate and comfortable. It’s tucked away in a valley, secluded from the world, and is surrounded by gardens and cypress trees. You and your guests can either enjoy the celebration inside or roam the grounds while savoring the sweetness of an evening in Provence.
