As the center of culture and interest in England, London is an incredible place to tie the knot if you’re a city-lover. But if you’re drawn to the quiet of the countryside and want an escape from the city, there are so many beautiful wedding venues near London to choose from. So if you’re a romantic at heart, an old-world soul, and lover of the English countryside, these wedding venues are for you:
I’ve never seen a venue so elegant yet so whimsical. Walking through the grounds of The Lost Orangery at Euridge Manor is like stepping into the Alice in Wonderland storybook. It’s full of gardens brimming with roses, fountains, chandeliers, and archways. It blends together a perfect mixture of delicate features and fairytale-like charm.

Nestled in the landscape beloved by Thomas Hardy and countless other Brits, Came House in the countryside of Dorset is one of the most charming venues I’ve had the opportunity to tour. The family-owned estate was built in 1754 and is filled with treasures like a gold-drenched drawing room, a cozy library, and a domed conservatory the wedding ceremony.
Built in 1651 and home to the 12th Earl and Countess of Shaftesbury, St Giles House is unlike any other venue. It was lovingly renovated in 2010, and has since become a sought-after location for luxury weddings in the Dorset countryside. Its design seamlessly blends classical architecture with unique, artistic elements like velvet couches and exposed brick. The estate includes a church, stables, accommodations for the wedding party, and even a shell grotto perfect for photos.

Once home to King Henry VIII and Princess Elizabeth I, Ashridge House is a historic castle that’s as grand as they come. The house itself is decorated beautifully in traditional English charm. And surrounding the main house are gardens, a park, and a forest, making Ashridge a quiet escape from London.
Cue the Pride and Prejudice soundtrack… This one’s straight out of a Jane Austen novel. I half expected to look out the window and see Mr. Darcy walking through the countryside. Kirtlington Park is a truly magnificent venue, full of traditional English charm, and perfect for all the hopeless romantics out there.
